To enhance your study of The Parable of the Train, I suggest a few songs that have increased my enjoyment.

I know there are many others. These are only the first few that come to mind:

  • Go The Distance, from Disney's Hercules

— An inspiring anthem proclaiming the joy of returning to the presence of our Heavenly Father, including a very special "thousand years" along the way

I won't look back. I'll stay on track. I won't accept defeat. It's an uphill slope, but I won't lose hope, 'til I go the distance and my journey is complete!

  • Midnight Flyer, by the Eagles

— An upbeat bluegrassy sound that shows how much fun it can be on the train!

I paid my dues (faith and repentance) and I feel like travelin' on!

  • When Love Comes to Town, by U2, feat. B.B. King

— A rousing blues romp. An excellent story of repentance and redemption. A poignant verse about the Savior puts the icing on this cake.

I was wrong to ever let you down, but I did what I did before love came to town.

According to the eternal law of opposition (2 Nephi 2), of course we should expect the Devil to provide a train of his own, which takes us in a different direction than the "Jesus train."

  • Long Black Train, by Josh Turner

— Temptation to sinfulness by imitating the journey of liberation

There is Victory in the Lord!

  • Crazy Train, by Ozzy Osbourne

— Mental instability brought about through sinfulness and media-fueled anxiety

It's not too late, to learn how to love and forget how to hate!
